Mother, Don’t Give Up on Yourself – Encouragement and Faith for Moms

Scripture: Isaiah 43:18–19 — “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (NIV)

There are days when the dream feels like a distant echo—when the pile of dishes, the pressure of bills, and the ache of your own silent battles make your goals feel like a fantasy you once dared to believe in. Motherhood is beautiful, yes. But it’s also sacrificial. And in the midst of pouring out for everyone else, it’s easy to forget that you are allowed to dream too.

I want to remind you today—don’t give up on yourself.

Yes, you’re a mother. A warrior in disguise. A nurturer. A counselor. A chef. A teacher. A whole management team wrapped up in one weary yet powerful soul. But you are also a woman. A visionary. A child of God with purpose etched in your DNA.

There is more for you.

Isaiah 43:18–19 says it best: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!” That’s not a polite suggestion. That’s a divine announcement. God isn’t asking you if He might do something new. He’s telling you—He is already doing it.

That brokenness from yesterday? He’s rewriting it.
That delay you’ve carried like shame? He’s redeeming it.
That dream you shelved for later? He’s whispering, “Let’s begin again.”

You are not behind. You are not too late. And you are certainly not forgotten.

Too many mothers have buried their gifts beneath the rubble of guilt, exhaustion, and the belief that “my time has passed.” But you are not expired—you are evolving. Every night you spend rocking a sick child. Every prayer whispered when no one sees you crying on the bathroom floor. Every brave decision you make to keep showing up—it’s all preparation. It’s soil for the new thing that is springing forth.

Maybe you started that business but didn’t have the strength to finish. Maybe you felt God calling you to write a book, start a ministry, launch a course—but you couldn’t figure out how to juggle it all. Maybe you’ve been told too many times that motherhood is where your identity ends.

But God never told you that.

He says: “I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” That means when it looks like there’s no clear path, He carves one out. When you feel parched and empty, He refreshes. When everyone else tells you to be quiet, He gives you a platform.

Don’t give up on your voice, mama. Don’t abandon your brilliance just because life got loud.

Your dreams are not separate from your motherhood—they are part of your legacy. Your children don’t just need your care; they need your courage. They need to see what it looks like when a woman of God builds, creates, and walks in divine confidence—even when she’s tired. Especially when she’s tired.

You are not broken. You are being rebuilt.
You are not invisible. You are anointed.
You are not too late. You are right on time.

So dust off the dream. Reopen the journal. Revisit the idea. Start again. Not with pressure, but with peace. Not with fear, but with faith.

Because God is doing a new thing—and it starts with you, right now, right where you are.

You’ve got this, mama. And even on the days you don’t—God’s got you.
Isaiah 43:18–19 is your anchor today. Let it water the dry places. Let it revive what was buried.

Your dream is not over. It’s just getting started.
