Sometimes the body cries out for a reset the same way the soul cries out for prayer. For me, that cry became too loud to ignore. After years of juggling books, business, and motherhood, I realized my body was weary, my mind cluttered, and my spirit whispering, “It’s time.”
So I’ve chosen something bold: 90 days raw. No fancy diet. No quick fix. Just fruits, vegetables, water, and coconut water. A pure return to the basics—God’s own foods, unprocessed, straight from creation.
This is not just about shedding pounds or chasing a trend. It’s about resetting my health, renewing my mind, and reclaiming my discipline. I want my body in alignment with my spirit, strong enough to carry the vision God has given me. This 90-day journey is a covenant: with myself, with my faith, and with the calling I carry.
And maybe, just maybe, my story will inspire someone else who feels that same inner cry to step into their own reset.

The Why
I didn’t choose this 90-day raw reset just because I wanted something “different” to try. I chose it because my body and spirit were both sending warning signs. I was tired in ways sleep couldn’t fix. My focus felt scattered. My energy would come in short bursts and then disappear. Deep down, I knew it wasn’t just physical exhaustion—it was spiritual, too.
For my health: I needed a way to cleanse and rebuild from the inside out. Raw fruits and vegetables are God’s original medicine—filled with living nutrients, water, and light. I wanted to give my body a break from processed foods and let it reset naturally.
For my mind: I wanted clarity. I believe the way we eat affects the way we think, and I longed for a sharp, focused, creative mind again. My writing, my designs, and even my daily conversations with my daughter deserve the best version of me—not a foggy, half-present one.
For my faith: This is where it cuts deepest. The Bible says, “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit?” (1 Corinthians 6:19, KJV). That verse isn’t just poetry—it’s a charge. I felt convicted to treat my body as holy ground, a vessel for God’s work. If my temple is weighed down, neglected, and out of balance, how can I walk in the fullness of my calling?
That’s why this reset is not a diet. It’s an act of worship. A way of saying, “Lord, I’m ready to align again—in body, mind, and spirit.”
Connection to My Books
This reset isn’t just about my plate—it’s about my purpose. Every book I’ve written carries a piece of my healing, my faith, and my fight to keep pressing forward. And this 90-day journey is just another chapter in that bigger story.
When my daughter and I co-wrote The Girl Who Found Her Voice Through Therapy (Series 1 & 2), it was our way of saying that healing is possible, even when silence has stolen so much. That book wasn’t only for children—it was for parents, families, and anyone who has ever struggled to be heard.
Later, when I released Brave in Broken Places, I was raw with my truth. That book carried my scars, my faith, and my bravery into the light. In many ways, choosing to eat raw foods for 90 days feels like an extension of that same bravery—because it takes courage to confront your own patterns and reset your life.
And most recently, God opened a new door when I created My Sweet Old Granny Chrissie for a client. That story reminded me that storytelling is not only my gift—it’s my service. Just as I poured creativity into someone else’s vision, I must also pour nourishment and strength back into myself.
So these fruits and vegetables? They’re not just food. They’re fuel for my calling. Every bite is helping me write the next chapter of my life—stronger, healthier, and more aligned with God’s plan.

The Commitment
Now, let’s be real—committing to 90 days of raw eating is not easy. I knew from the start that cravings would come knocking, especially when the smell of cooked food fills the house. But I also knew that if I wanted change, I had to choose discipline over comfort.
For me, the commitment is simple but strict: only raw fruits, raw vegetables, water, and coconut water. No teas, no juices from a box, no processed snacks hiding behind fancy labels. Just living foods—the way God made them.
Practically, this means starting my mornings with hydrating fruits like watermelon, papaya, or oranges. Lunches are colorful salads, loaded with greens, cucumbers, and tomatoes, sometimes topped with avocado. Snacks are as simple as a handful of grapes or slices of mango. Dinners are heavier raw meals like shredded cabbage, carrots, or even zucchini noodles. And whenever thirst calls, it’s answered only with pure water or the natural sweetness of coconut water.
But beyond the food itself, the real commitment is spiritual. Every time I want to quit, I remind myself: this isn’t just about the body. It’s about building discipline, learning self-control, and offering even my appetite back to God. When temptation shows up, I fight it with prayer, with journaling, and with scripture.
Because this is not just a food reset—it’s a covenant. A promise to myself that for 90 days, I will give my body the gift of renewal, my mind the gift of clarity, and my spirit the gift of obedience.

Encouragement for Readers
I know not everyone can—or even wants to—commit to ninety days of raw eating. And that’s okay. My journey isn’t meant to be a rulebook; it’s meant to be a reminder that we all need resets, in one form or another.
Maybe for you, it’s not food. Maybe it’s setting down your phone for a few hours each day. Maybe it’s finally committing to daily prayer. Maybe it’s saying no to a toxic relationship or yes to rest when your body is begging for it. Resets look different for each of us, but they all start with the same question: “Am I ready to align myself again?”
If you’re curious about trying a raw reset, you don’t have to start with 90 days. Begin with seven. For one week, fill your body with living foods and see how you feel. Replace sodas with water. Swap out heavy dinners for a bowl of fruit. Small steps create momentum, and momentum creates change.
And don’t forget—this isn’t just about discipline; it’s about faith. Even Daniel chose vegetables and water in Babylon, and God gave him wisdom, strength, and favor (Daniel 1:12–17). If He could do it for Daniel, He can do it for you.
Your body, your mind, and your spirit deserve a reset. And sometimes, all it takes is one brave choice to begin.
Closing + Call to Action
This 90-day raw reset is more than just a change in what’s on my plate—it’s a declaration of who I want to become. Stronger in body, clearer in mind, and more faithful in spirit. It’s about honoring God with my choices and creating space for the vision He’s placed in me.
But this isn’t just about me. It’s about you, too. Maybe you’re standing where I was—tired, foggy, longing for renewal. If so, I want to invite you to take your own step toward reset, whatever that looks like. Maybe it’s seven days raw. Maybe it’s simply drinking more water and less soda. Or maybe it’s diving into prayer and journaling daily. Whatever your reset looks like, know this: you’re capable, you’re worthy, and you’re not alone.
My journey has always been about more than food—it’s been about healing and storytelling. That’s why I write books like The Girl Who Found Her Voice Through Therapy (Series 1 & 2), Brave in Broken Places, and even client projects like My Sweet Old Granny Chrissie. Each one is a piece of my testimony, proof that healing and growth are possible.
So as I walk through these 90 days, I invite you to walk with me. Follow this blog, share it with someone who needs encouragement, and maybe even grab one of my books as nourishment for your soul while I nourish my body. Together, let’s reset—because sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is begin again.
